Lacey gets stitches

My mom called last night to tell me that Kelly took Lacey (and Ashley) to the children's emergency clinic around 8pm because Lacey cut her finger with the scissors while working on a craft. Clint was home with the flu and a fever so that's why Ashley went along. Tommy was with Christine close by so he met Kelly at the doctor. It took a while for her to get in and the doctor said Lacey would need some stitches. She got 3 in her right finger, palm side, first knuckle. Kelly said she didn't cry at all. She just buried her head in Kelly's chest. Ashley made sure she could see....but from a distance. She sat quietly as she watched her big sister get stitched up.

Ashley is the one with the scissors obsession. She had been known on numerous occasions to cut her own hair. Her biggest debut was the Monday after our wedding day. She cut all, I mean ALL of her bangs. She's also been known to cut Lacey's doll's hair. I think she's on scissor restriction more times than not. Now that she's seen this scissor accident up close and personal, I think her hands will be scissor free for a while.

Today Kelly and Ashley also have flu like symptoms and fever. Get well soon!
