Shame on me!

It has been way too long since I have been a blogger! For the sake of my little one and my memory I better get with it! As soon as I can figure out how to re-sync my iPad to my iPhone I'll post some new pics and adventures!

Lights, presents, and milkshakes, OH MY!

The Carmines Family has been busy lately but things are well. Christmas was wonderful and I had a new role this year in our pageant....I direedct the adult choir. It's been a while since I've been at the director's stand waving my arms! It was great. Our church choir has been "leaderless" for about 6 months, since our former Music Director retired. There was a need for a

director for a couple of pieces over the last couple months and my schedule has allowed me to step in and 'lend a hand'. I have more to post on Christmas but my pictures are all over the place.

The week before Christmas was filled with pageant preparations so our yearly Riverwalk outing had to wait until after Christmas day. We went to dinner with the Hamann's and then went on a riverwalk boat cruise to see all the pretty lights. Amelia had so much fun with her BFF, Jayla!

Amelia was so excited about all the presents that Santa brought her but by far, her favorite is a baby doll that her Aunt Kelly gave her. She and "brown baby" go everywhere together. She sleeps with her, makes her go potty when she has to go potty, rides in the car with her, and eats with her. This baby is definitely a Texas girl. She never has clothes on!

My favorite gift this year also was not from Santa but rather from my sweet husband. Nathan got me a sewing machine! I know NOTHING about sewing but really want to learn. I signed up for classes starting next month through community ed.

Last night we went to Red Robin for dinner and a little dessert. Here's a pic of me and Amelia slurping down a delicious shake. Oh how my little sweetie loves SWEETS!

Amelia's Birthday Party

Amelia has been 2 for a couple of months but I never posted pictures from her party. She had an Elmo party and MoMak's Backyard Burgers and Malts.

Devine Acres Farm

Fall is here and so is Fall fun! Saturday we went to Devine Acres Farm and had a great time with friends. We painted pumpkins, went on a barrel train ride, did some catch and release fishing, and posed with a field of pumpkins. We plan to go back for their "Christmas on the Farm" festivities.

We didn't catch anything but we sure tried! The fish were too quick. Our hook went in full of bait and always came up empty. I think I heard the word "sucker" from the surface of the water.

2 years old!

I'm very late in posting pics of Amelia's 2 year old photo session but I think they are worth the wait....

Here's what our little angel is doing at 2 years old:

*Potty Training! She's doing great and loves her Minnie Mouse underwear

*Favorite Foods- Blueberries, Broccoli, CANDY ("Tanny", as she calls it is a "food" in the Carmines house), ice cream, fish sticks, chicken, grapes and yogurt.

*Loves playing "SINK". This is where she stands at the kitchen sink on a step stool and plays with water. She scoops is, stirs it, pours it in and out of every cup, bowl, and dish she can get her hands on. She looks over at me and says, "Mommy, I cooking!"

*She talks up a storm! For a 2 year old, she's got an impressive vocabulary and she copies everything she hears.

*Loves to read. Some favorite books as of right now are Daddy Hugs; Away in a Manger; Brown Bear, Brown Bear; Princess of the Potty.

Ha Ha! She's aggressive and confident! Is it bad if I'm thinking "Atta Girl!" ?

More catching up

Nathan and I took our first trip without Amelia. We went back to Casa Maravilla CM with our sweet friend Jo.

VBS was a huge success. We had record breaking numbers. 1230 kids and over 700 volunteers. Here is Amelia eating ice cream during Family Night.
