Thankfulness

We are almost there! This week is my favorite week of the year. It's festive and filled with family. It's ramping up to Thanksgiving Day. IT'S THANKSGIVING PREP WEEK! I love Thanksgiving because it means we have Christmas still to look forward to. Even though life as a church worker is extremely hectic during the holidays, I still love it. Most folks look to this season to catch a break from the office. Me and my co-workers are shifting it into high gear. Sometimes (a lot of times) that means extra hours at work. I often ask myself if "its all worth it". I know that it is! I love that I work with people who proclaim "I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people". Just like the angel on that very first Christmas. We have been called to shout that message out for all to hear. So, in the spirit of being thankful- here are a few things I am thankful for!

1. God our Heavenly Father that has blessed me beyond measure.
2. My sweet husband, Nathan. He partners with me in all my craziness so I can do the work I love to do. Things that will bless us and our life, I hope.

3. My most favorite 4 year old on earth. Gosh- I love this little girl!

4. Good health. This year has been so rough for my mom as she's struggled with many health issues. She has spent half of this year with pretty much a large area of her lower leg, calf and shin with an open wound. She has finally found an excellent wound care specialist that has her on the road to recovery. She still works even though she'd love to retire. The scheduled routine of work does keep her busy and active, though. She's the strongest, most amazing woman I know. Filled with integrity, love and compassion. I love you, Mom!
