A Great Read

Nathan and I are doing a couples bible study based on.....
They're great for married couples, dating or really any relationship. They point out the different ways men and women are wired and we've found this study to be awesome! Check it out if you want to know more about the opposite sex.....or at least if you want to attempt to understand them a little better.

POG minus Heather?!?!

I've been a little delinquent on checking the Point of Grace blog but today I did and I was soooo sad! I've loved this group since I was a teenager. It was hard enough for me when one of the originaly 4, Terry, left. They took some time off from touring to replace her and they did with Leigh. It was an adjustment but my favorite voice was still there...Heather. Point of Grace was first formed in 1991 by Heather Payne, Shelly Breen, Denise Jones, and Terry Jones. Heather is leaving to raise her 4 children. I can't think of a better reason. She will be missed by this San Antonio fan!
They've sold more than 5 million albums and they recieved 8 Dove awards! No Grammy but they've been nominated before. They've also had 24 No 1 hits and you can own them all on their cd collection simply called "24". It's awesome! You can still see them on tour and they've recently started a new conference called Girls of Grace for young ladies tweens to twenties (and then some!). Girls of Grace exists to encourage young girls to live Godly lives. I pray for this precious ministry during this time of transition.

Nathan and Nicole throw a Shower!

After church on Sunday Nathan and I threw a baby shower for our friends, TJ and Rachel. We had a great time and they got some new things for the baby! Here's Nathan working on our centerpieces. I found these cute watering cans at Garden Ridge. They are bright and colorful and make the perfect vase for flowers.

Here's the soon to be big sister....Savannah.

We surrouned the deck with pink and white balloons and as you can see, the girls were mesmerized by them. What's the deal with kids and balloons? They love them! Me, I am kind of scared of balloons. I don't like them to pop close to my face. They scare me but so did my toy Jack in the Box and the game Operation. I've never liked the jump-out-at-you startling things.

We got a cake from Costco, of course~ you can see the oh so famous stork cake they do there. It was so good!

We got some games and crafts for the kids to make/ play with....

More Rockport

My posts are a little out of order. Here are more pictures from our time at the beach....

Nathan and Daniel being silly as they attempt to inflate an inflatable mattress....

We are getting creative on sleeping arrangements. The whole point of going to the coast is so that we can all be together....all 12 of us! That's 12 in ONE condo. Nathan and I lucked out this year and got our own room. Sylvia and Larry slept on the couch and couch cushions and Daniel and Kelsey shared the inflatable mattress. The Cobb family all slept upstairs in the 2 upstairs bedrooms. We were all comfortable.

Here's a picture of Kelsey licking the bowl of the cake batter. Mmm...Mmmm.....Mmmmm! It sure was good.

Riding on the Ferry

Kelsey and her Dad

Kelsey is a Mad Libs-aholic. She wanted to play nonstop. Luckily for her, her dad, uncle and aunt were more than happy to oblige. We all had fun mad libbing. We also watched The Sound of Music while on the road. It was Kelsey's first time to see it. She loved it and I loved that she loved it!

Apple fall far from the tree? Nope. Look at how they sleep the same. It's Daniel and Kelsey, by the way.
