Things are going well for us. She's a good eater! She had her 2 week check up on Tuesday and she weighs 8lbs and 6oz. She's nursing beautifully except that she spits up. All the time. I've been wondering how she puts on weight. I'm so thankful that she's healthy and growing. She also had to have her second PKU test...the dreaded heel prick. I held her while they drew blood and poor baby just cried and cried. Only for a minute of two. She's tough. I'm so not looking forward to her 2 month check up and the shots that come with that visit. I hope I don't cry!
She still has her days and night confused. I'm trying really hard to keep up awake after day time feedings but it is challenging. I keep reminding myself that she isn't even 3 weeks old yet. Last night when she woke to eat around 3 she stayed up until 5. Nathan and I are SLEEPY! At least we have something precious to look at while we're up in the wee hours of the morning.

Beautiful! Love the pictures. Hang in there, she'll get turned around soon : ) I have a book called Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby. I love it. It gives sensible advice for kids of all ages. I call it my sleep bible.
A friend just told me about that book. A copy will be mine before the weekend is over! Thanks for the tip!
I LOVE the pics! She's looks so alert already!
She's beautiful...you guys are doing so much with her already...I think I would still be locked in the house. The pictures are precious. So smart to get them as the time flies!
gorgeous pics! What a little doll! I so remember the mixed up days and nights!! Uugghh!! Yes, that book saved my life after Ellie was born! Go get one now!!
Amelia is just beautiful!
She is precious. I think this is the first family member to have a nude picture on the internet...I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure! As far as the sleeping issue, just think that this is what Nathan has been in training for all of these years of staying up so late so pump some bottles ahead of time and let him put his practice into action...you can borrow my earmuffs so you can get some sleep while he does his Daddy duties:)
I am in LOVE! I want to come see her...I mean ya'll very soon. Funny comment by Uncle Daniel. She will not lack for males with a healthy sense of humor for sure!
Beautiful pictures!! At least with the 2 month old shots she will be able to get a dose of tylenol. Going in for the shots always made me want to cry also.
The sleeping book will really help. We had a book that helped us set up our routine and we followed it and it was fantastic. Both girls got on a 7p to 7a sleep cycle when they were big enough and it even makes bedtime a pleasant experience to this day. I wish they still went to bed at 7p (ha ha)
Hi Nicole, I don't know if you remember me, I lived with Mike and Robyn Neel for a while about 10 years ago... I remember you used to help with the Youth group at Concordia, is that right?
Just wanted to say, your baby girl is SO cute! God bless you!
