We went to Frederickburg instead. It wasn't Mexico but it was a nice, relaxing and romantic weekend with my sweet husband! We had a great time. We stayed at The Legacy Inn.
It was our first time to stay in a B&B and we loved it. The Legacy Inn is a four bedroom house with a loft. The Loft is where we stayed and it is the entire upstairs of this house. It was off of Main St. in Fredericksburg on Austin St in a nice little neighborhood. Here's the view from the upstairs front door of the loft.
The trees and flowers surrounding the house were beautiful. It was a two story house and we were the only guests. Since we were in the loft, we didn't have access to the rest of the house but we didn't need anything more.We had a nice living room...
A gorgeous bedroom with a heavenly king size bed. The night tables were granite topped and so were the bedposts.
Our breakfast was delivered to the loft at 9:15am and it was hot and delicous!
That breakfast was actually breakfast #2.
Daniel told us about Dietz Bakery and how good it was. He told us to go early because they open at 8am and are usually sold out by 8:30. He was right! We got up early and were in line at 7:50. We had about 10 people in front of us. When the doors open we were able to smell the yummy goodness baking inside! Ahhhhh....I just love, love, love bread and all baked goodies! If you're in Fredericksburg you MUST pay an early visit to Dietz bakery. You won't be sorry.Here's the early morning line....
We went to see ROCKBOX THEATER on Friday night- a show our mom's would absolutely love! It's very family friendly. A little on the hokey side but overall it was entertaining. I had a very annoying lady sitting next to me. She was overly eager to whoop and hollar. I'm glad she liked it, and all but come on! I don't know why it annoyed me so bad but it did.
We also went to Wildseed Farms and the weather was perfect. The fields of flowers are amazing and we enjoyed our walk through the farm.

OH MY GOSH, after all of that and Nathan made you sleep on the couch...I promise, Lil' S, we taught him better than that!!!!
Wow! It looks like you had a wonderful trip. Perfect, under the circumstances. Much safer than Mexico. I'm sooooooo wanting to go to Wildseed farms. I try to plan a trip every summer, but we never make it happen. Maybe this week is our week. The kids are out of school. Hope all is well with you and Nathan.
That looks fabulous. You guys are smart to do something like that before the baby comes. I'm sure you know- all your weekend getaways are never the same post-baby!!
What a nice and relaxing time to have with your hubby before the baby arrives. The pictures are beautiful. Can you imagine all of the beauty in heaven?
